Course Delivery
MODE OF DELIVERY
BLENDED DELIVERY:20 contact hours per week will be delivered through synchronised Online learning which includes on- campus simulation based training and Professional experience placement.
Besides the above structured learning, students are advised that they will be required to do 10 hours per week of unstructured learning.
The blended delivery mode is only available to domestic students on selected campuses and subject to eligibility.
Students must meet additional requirements for Professional Experience Placements as required such as a clear police check,working with children check & immunisations.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however, applicants should demonstrate ability to perform tasks as required by the industry:
IHNA Admission Requirements
- Applicants are required to be 18 years old and above
- Successful completion of an Australian Year 10 qualification or equivalent.
Note: Mature age students (22+) may also be considered without the minimum education requirements. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the applicant to meet qualification requirements.
Additional requirements:
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) requirement:All students are required to undergo the LLN test offered by IHNA for their suitability to be determined for undertaking the qualification successfully. They are to demonstrate their competence in literacy and numeracy levels in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) at exit Level 3 and participate in a pre- training review when enrolling into the course.
Digital literacy:- Basic computer skills covering the most common usages of a computer, including managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using computers; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.
- Having own computer (desktop or laptop) to facilitate the training and assessment. Recommended Laptop requirements: Core i3 Processor, 4 GB of RAM, Operating system; Windows 7 or later version, Screen; 10” or higher, Microsoft Office or Open Office Program, Adobe Reader and Antivirus Program.
- A satisfactory Police (AFP/NCC) Clearance certificate
- Required immunisation
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
Note: Students must declare a disability or disorder (if any), or if they are on any medication which may require reasonable adjustments. Where a student breaches the above requirements, they could be excluded from their practical placements which may result in unsuccessful completion of the qualification.
Course assessment
The course is assessed using the following 3 methods.
- Questions
- Projects
- Simulations
The questions or knowledge-based assessments are made up of a series of relevant short to medium length questions and multiple-choice options for learners to respond.
The projects assessments require learners to respond to relevant scenarios, case studies and tasks. These can include, writing short or medium length reports or proposals. Analysing data and preparing reports. Templates are provided to assist learners to write policies and produces. Composing appropriate business style emails, preparing notes for meetings, presentations and reflecting on the learning.
The simulation assessments are supervised, in-class or online (real time) simulated activities consisting of various methods. They may include the following: Group and individual projects, role plays, individual and group activities including presentations.

- Interview: Once you’ve met IHNA’s eligibility criteria you will be contacted for an interview with an admissions consultant
- Offer Letter: If you’re successful with the interview you will be offered a place for the course as per the availability of each intake.
- Enrolment Fee: After signing the offer acceptance an invoice will be issued for the course. You may be eligible for government funding, so please call our team to know more.
- Confirmation of Admission: We will issue a conformation of admission once the enrolment fee has been received.
